ALERT! SeeThink Headquarters VANDALIZED on the holiday weekend! After an absence of a few days, we walked in to discover this “arrangement” on the gear closet door. We wonder what these strange pictographs mean and who we should hold responsible??!!!
New Bond. Roger Deakins shooting the Alexa. Sweet.
ST goes 3up adding Sam Fleischner’s movie to the slate for this fall…working along side Missing Pieces….Sam’s in green. Movies are like flavored lollypops…so says ST.
Ryan Houchin does sick moves in front of SeeThink World HQ. These dudes are fucking fearless. Nice moves Ryan! ST’s global urban reclamation documentation project continues. Talk to ST Public Relations about upcoming shoots.
FUNNY GAMES. ST likes this movie. Here Haneke very clearly talks about what the film is about. Whats nice about the film is that is discusses these issues in a very bold and obvious way…and yet it never feels heavy handed. Implying the viewer in the acts of violence is often not very popular with audiences. But its an incredible critique that NATURAL BORN KILLERS, PULP FICTION and MAN BITES DOG did very effectively. FUNNY GAMES updated that discussion.
One of our ST secret operatives wanted us to share this. If his (or her) identity or activities are compromised we will disavow all knowledge of his (or her) activities…FOR ALL YOU FREELANCERS OUT THERE….ST Spec Ops lives….we own the night….
More Altman interviews. He’s always saying interesting things. What’s really cool is how he worked with his writers. Nashville for instance was simply based on a diary that Joan Tewkesbury made after spending a few days there. The random car crash in the beginning is right out of her diary…and the structure of the whole script really follows that drifting feeling of a diary…ST says so cool. Now she directs TV. Too bad she isn’t making more weird diaries that get turned into movies. Not that that is realistic now. In this video Altman discusses KANSAS CITY…more evidence in the interview of his open minded and collaborative approach to filmmaking…and his smart way of dealing with the industry in order to get his films financed.
Altman interview. ST is so impressed with the guys ability to work within the system and yet make really successful works of art or great cinematic literature…or whatever you want to call it…he drops these totally crazy shots in sometimes but his narrative is strong enough for broader audiences to bare it…. He says after the movie is cast 85% of his creative work has been done. CASTING…the key to all things good. Also comments on rehearsal. So much of his work was done before the camera started rolling. ST wishing we had more time for rehearsals these days on our teeny tiny budgets we are so often forced to deal with very little rehearsal time.
ST Terrorist Division took hand puppet Boni McTavish hostage and is threatening to behead him and post it on youtube. If you want to save his life send a cashiers check for 50,000$ to SeeThink Films. You have 1 week to reply. Thanks. ST Terrorist Development Division International.
Watch. Awesome freakout street musician in Guatemala. He jams. From ST World Culture division. We love you all.
When ST was making the documentary New World Order a lot of the people we talked to were really scared about digital invasions of privacy. They had good reason. Basically the NSA and FBI built back doors into a bunch of telecom companies…and its legal according to new terror inspired laws (as of 2008???). Well this dude is trying to fight back. He’s a badass…and the ACLU is also badass. ST Films wishes they would make an ACLU credit card. Buy your rights back one charge at a time.
Lindsay Lohan Morphed Growing Old. I dont know who made this. Sam Fleischner intro’d it to me. We all stood around and were horrified. ST wonders: Can a lens STEAL YOUR SOUL??? Perhaps.
ST Helicopter Crash. Two of our chopper collided in mid-air. Working hard at SeeThink…sorta like 8 year olds…ST is fun…
Gatorade spec commercial made 12 years ago by SeeThink. We made it for 1000$. Imagine that. Ariels were takes from a fucking R22 with a Bolex. All shot on 16mm. Even good lighting VFX and everything. Fun!!! That horse died two years later. Her names was Kisses, but she looks evil here. DP Carolyn MacCartney. Andrew Neel directing…so so much younger…
