SeeThink interns caught DRUNK in East Williamsburg. Arpy…whats in your hand…???
Werner on chickens being scary…their eyes ARE cold. He made the best chicken scene ever put on film…that chicken dancing on the electrified box. Werner…cold…cruel…genetic programming…
We are all drowning in our own cultural soup.
What kind of soup is it?
"“Journeyman from the Heartland… Deep in the game since the age of 13… The Buddy Holly of Hip Hop.”
A brief, mid-tour portrait of Milwaukee rapper Juiceboxxx - from footage shot in late 2009.
Directed by Luke Meyer
Epilogue… Not long after this Juiceboxxx went on to tour with Public Enemy , moved from Milwaukee to LA, started a record label and created his own energy drink.
We screened Pavilion at ST for a small audience not long after the edit was done. The movie is really great: lush, meditative, ephemeral, enigmatic…a dynamic mix of documentary and fictional styles…brilliant direction of non-actors (which usually end in failure)…its has not left the mind since we watched it…So help out Tim Sutton and give him a donation. Spread the word.
Alice Neel did these for a limited edition The Brothers Karamazov book that was never published. The novel is one of ST’s favorite books and the illustrations are equally cool. ST tried to arrange them in the proper narrative order…let us know if you think they are wrong. Although…who hangs themselves…we put it at the end???
Doris Lessing talks about sci-fi and story telling. Doris Lessing…ST favorite.

Jim Henson and Robots. A view of the cantankerous future from 1963.
Brad Got Nuked
Watch….Abbas Kiarostami says some very wise stuff about Cinema while driving. Really good thoughts…also…just a thought from ST…we like interviews in cars…people are in funny trance…often the interviews while driving give great stream-of-consciousness style results. I think in acting a similar thing can work…When an actor has a physical objective…often the acting is more natural…because their engagement with another task makes them less self conscious.
